Fiber Technician at Eltel in Örnsköldsvik

What are my responsibilities?

As a fiber technician with us, you will maintain critical infrastructure; you will build and service the communication networks of the future. You will have the opportunity to work in many different environments, such as outdoors along railways, roads, and in masts. At Eltel, we have a wide range of customers, which means you will have the chance to work broadly and develop in your role as a fiber technician.

You will report your hours daily via phone or computer and continuously report during and after your work. Of course, you will keep a close dialogue with our production planner and our customers to keep them updated on the progress of the work. You will also actively work to ensure a high level of service to the customer.

Examples of tasks:

• troubleshooting and repairing.
• installing fiber.
• working with fiber blowing.

On-call duty may occur and is salary-enhancing.

Who are you?

As a person, you are driven and take the initiative to solve tasks when problems arise. You have a service mindset and enjoy collaborating with others but can also work alone when needed. To succeed in this role, you need:

• Relevant high school education, for example in construction or the electrical industry.
• Driver's license B.
• Preferably experience in fiber installation.
• Preferably experience in troubleshooting.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience as a certified fiber technician and in robust fiber.
• Experience working on roads.
• ESA
• Hot work.
• Scissor lift
• Driver's license E
• Experience working in the railway sector.

Additional information

The position is a permanent employment that starts with a 6-month probationary period.

The basis for employment is a successful background check (including, among other things, a check of legal disputes and financial status) and a successful security clearance.
